PolicyPack launches publicly to bring AI-engineered compliance to Australian SMBs
Australian software platform PolicyPack today launches to the general public, replacing the $5,000 law firm compliance engagement with a $199 AI-engineered alternative.
Sydney, NSW — 14 May 2026 — PolicyPack, an Australian software platform that uses context-aware AI to draft complete compliance documentation packs for small and medium-sized businesses, today announces general availability following a six-month closed beta with more than 200 Australian operators across construction, healthcare, hospitality, and professional services.
PolicyPack generates a full compliance pack — Workplace Health and Safety Policy, Safe Work Method Statements, Privacy Management Plan, Employee Code of Conduct, Anti-bullying & Harassment Policy, Incident & Hazard Register, Emergency Response Plan, and a Training Register — in approximately 20 minutes. Every clause is generated against the customer's specific industry, jurisdiction, headcount, services, and hazards, and aligned to the live regulatory text maintained by the platform.
The product is priced at AU$199 for a single pack. An optional Vault tier ($5/month) provides indefinite retention and unlimited re-downloads. A Subscription tier ($49/month) provides continuous regulatory monitoring and automatic regeneration when the underlying regulations change.
"The cheapest credible compliance documentation in Australia for a small business has been a $5,000 law firm engagement, and the alternative was a folder of generic PDF templates that auditors immediately recognise as worthless," said Theo Tjokrosaputro, co-founder of PolicyPack. "Nobody had built the middle tier. Compliance is structurally hard to automate — until very recently. We built it because the gap was too big."
PolicyPack is launched against the seven Australian Industry classifications most affected by recent regulatory reform: construction and trades, healthcare and allied health, hospitality and food, professional services, retail and ecommerce, transport and logistics, and manufacturing and industrial. The platform tracks the WHS regimes of all eight Australian jurisdictions, the federal Privacy Act 1988, the Fair Work obligations administered by the Fair Work Commission, and the relevant state Codes of Practice.
The launch follows a series of consequential reforms to the Australian compliance landscape, including the federal industrial manslaughter regimes (now legislated in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, the ACT, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia), the 2024 Privacy Act reforms, and the September 2024 NSW silica regulation amendments. The cumulative effect has materially raised the cost of poorly-maintained compliance documentation for Australian operators.
PolicyPack is a privately-held Australian company headquartered in Sydney, NSW.

PolicyPack expands construction coverage to align with tier-one head contractor pre-qualification
PolicyPack rolls out an updated construction pack designed against the pre-qualification requirements of major Australian head contractors, allowing sub-trade operators to clear Cm3, Avetta, and PreQual onboarding from a single $199 generation.
Sydney, NSW — 8 May 2026 — PolicyPack today announces an expansion of its construction and trades pack to fully align with the pre-qualification requirements of Australia's major head contractors, including the workflows enforced through Cm3, Avetta, and PreQual.
The updated construction pack now generates documentation structured to satisfy the eleven core requirements asked by tier-one head contractors during sub-trade onboarding: a signed and dated WHS Policy, project-specific Safe Work Method Statements for each scheduled high-risk construction work activity, a Quality Management Plan, an Environmental Management Plan, a Drugs and Alcohol Policy, a Fatigue Management Policy, an Incident Notification Procedure, a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Policy, and a structured cover index that maps each document to the platform requirement it satisfies.
"Sub-trade operators have been telling us they spend two to five business days getting through Cm3 onboarding when their documentation is in good shape, and up to six weeks when it isn't," said Theo Tjokrosaputro, co-founder of PolicyPack. "We're now seeing customers clear pre-qualification on the same day they download. That's the bar we built it for."
The expansion follows extensive structural research with sub-trade operators across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, and direct conversations with pre-qualification reviewers at three of the five largest Australian head contractors. The pattern of common rejection causes — generic content, undated documentation, unsigned policies, missing notification flows, and insufficient consultation evidence — informed the structural defaults of the updated pack.
The construction pack is included as standard within the $199 PolicyPack generation. The Subscription tier provides continuous monitoring of changes to the relevant Codes of Practice and head contractor documentation requirements.
