Plain English
We're a software platform, not a law firm. Our documents are AI-generated templates that need a competent person inside your business to review before adoption.1. Not legal advice
PolicyPack is a technology platform that uses AI to generate compliance document templates. Use of PolicyPack does not create a solicitor–client relationship. The documents do not constitute legal, accounting, or other professional advice and should not be relied on as such.
2. Independent review required
Every generated document must be reviewed by a competent person within your business — and where appropriate, an Australian-qualified professional — before adoption, distribution, or reliance. The reviewer is responsible for ensuring the document accurately reflects your operational reality and meets the obligations applicable to your circumstances.
3. Accuracy
While we apply careful prompt engineering, current regulatory references, and quality controls, AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated references. You should not assume that any document is current or correct without verifying it against the applicable legislation and codes of practice.
4. Jurisdictional scope
PolicyPack is designed for Australian small-to-medium businesses operating under one or more Australian state or territory regulators. Documents generated for use outside Australia, or against frameworks we do not list, are not supported.
5. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PolicyPack disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from reliance on the documents, including:
- regulatory penalties or enforcement action;
- insurance claims declined for any reason;
- contracts not awarded or terminated;
- workplace incidents or injuries;
- any loss caused by inaccurate inputs you supply.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes guarantees you have under non-excludable provisions of the Australian Consumer Law.
6. When to get real legal advice
Always consult an Australian-qualified professional when:
- responding to a regulatory investigation or enforcement notice;
- negotiating a head contract or principal-contractor agreement;
- after a notifiable workplace incident;
- during a dispute or legal proceeding;
- in any circumstance where an authoritative legal opinion is required.
